This past Friday, we had several visiting Rotarians - John Massih (soon to be new member). Larry Johansen from Downtown. And Jim Leslie ,Dave Laferla,  and Howard Epstein from Suburban.  We also had a few guests including Kevin Loberg.  Jennifer Jirak-Brungardt brought her parents.

March Birthdays include:  Nick Rosenberry (9), Warren Witted III (11), Denny Duer (12), Maryssa Brown (26), John Philo (28), Deb Sepich (30), and Dan Farris (31).

For good news, Lori Benton wanted to thank everyone for the card, e-mails and well wishes.  Dan Lassek’s business partner is up for Man/Women of the year for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  Luke McNeese has a new member on his team.  Bob Kully’s son is (officially) working for Jay Inslee’s presidential campaign.  Martie Cordaro shared that the Storm Chasers documentary will be playing at the Aksarben Cinema on Wednesday (March 6).  Martie also mentioned that the new hospitality club is open.  Steve Levinger’s daughter is getting married in one week.  Finally, Matt Molettiere’s wife was recently named a partner in her dental practice.

Nick ended with a joke and wished everyone a good week.

Sign up yourself - you will be a more effective leader for your Rotary Club.

Rotary Leadership Institute is a facilitated program with active participation - no lecturing. Topics important to Rotary Clubs and Members such as Effective Service Projects, Membership Engagement, and understanding The Rotary Foundation are explored. You will discuss real challenges and exchange ideas.

Testimonial from a recent participant: RLI was a great opportunity to explore Rotary - really learn about this vast organization. This is the first time I truly understood that Rotary was not just about my Club - it extends beyond to other communities, states and the world. I feel that I can truly help my club with programs now that I have participated in RLI.
