Last week, President Jill Slupe and Nick Rosenberry presided over the meeting. Rebecca Miller gave the Invocation and John Morey served as Cashier. Carl Philo was Sgt. at Arms. Lori Benton served as greeter. We had several announcements. Bob Kully introduced Erin Owen and Dr. Samuel Meisels who talked about the early-intervention work the Buffet Institute is doing.
This past Friday, we had several visiting Rotarians including Phil Schrier and Tom Corrall from Omaha NW. And Mark Taylor from Suburban. We also had one guest. Bonnie Gill brought Deidre Milobar.
For good news, Starla Waite’s granddaughter turned one. Gretchen Radler’s youngest daughter was in town visiting. Mark Ellsworth was a recent volunteer for the flood relief telethon. They raised over $100,000! Bob Lovgren’s grandson became a member of the Vail ski team…and he is only 10 years old. And finally, Bonnie Gill’s grandson graduated at the top of his class and got a 34 on his ACT.
Nick ended with a joke and wished everyone a good week.
